Just this morning I found a Wooly Bear caterpillar in my backyard. It was the middle of winter! It must have come out due to the 60 degree waether yesterday. It was cold and frozen, but I knew somehow that it wasn't quite dead yet. I poked it gently and it stirred weakly. I brought it inside and warmed it in a dish with a container of boiling hot water underneath it. It began to move around! I fed it some baby spinach and it seems to be okay now. It eats frequently and moves around a lot more. I plan to realese it into the wild when the warn spring waether returns.
