Wish Ready

. . . . .
Shhh…Alright my family that visits here and the few of Dale’s friends that know about my blog…don’t tell on me.
Most folks know that I love wildflowers. And that I firmly believe that Dandelions are wildflowers not weeds. They had grown amazingly well in our yard at the old house for many years. That might be because I scatter the seeds while making the wish that they…well…that they come back and decorate my yard again. Yeah, you probably have guessed where I’m going with this. I was busy yesterday making wishes. But just before these wish ready seeds were sent off to fulfill their destiny, I thought I’d capture them with my camera. That way I could share this story. In the hope that others who love wildflowers will also keep them growing wildly in their yards too.
Thanks for stopping by and looking in ![]()

That’s what we did as kids…when our parents weren’t looking. They didn’t like those seeds spread:-) Beautiful capture.

I think we all have childhood memories of blowing on dandelion weeds in hopes that our wishes might come true!!
They almost look like stars!!!
Beautiful photo.

I like how you got up close to this dandelion. Lovely light and composition.
I, too, like dandelions, and they freely decorate our grassy areas. I just looked them up in my wildflower book and discovered that most dandelions, including the common one, are aliens, not natives. But, they are here to stay and make us smile in the spring.

I like your shot and dandelions too. I recently did a series of shots of dandelions (too lazy to get the tractor out after winter) and mine are quite different from yours. It’s nice to see a different approach.
Yours has a completely different character and perspective.
I don’t think my lens goes anywhere near as close as yours. And you said you were using the kit lens?
