Blooming Water Lily

This was taken at the same location as yesterday’s frog “By the Pond” photo. Taken at Hidden Lake Gardens. I had been waiting for the Waterlilies to bloom here in Michigan. I wasn’t sure when to expect the flowers  so I’ve been  waiting and watching. Now I know late June seems to be best.

I didn’t know when we started out the door yesterday that we would end up at the gardens so I only brought my walking around macro lens. I’ll try and get back real soon with my longer length one. I would like a better view of these.

    Truly a beautiful nature shot, Susan. I love the lily and the sky reflections in the water. Great composition.

    A very appealing shot with this single bloom. I also like the reflected clouds
    which adds a certain charm to the shot.
