Welcome to Riverhu Photography
Most of the images that you will find here are taken within and around the Downriver area of southeastern, Michigan. The Huron River (pictured above) divides both Wayne and Monroe counties among others. Which just happens to be one of my favorite subjects to photograph. Anything having to do with nature interests me. So expect to find photographs of rivers, lakes, landscapes, wildflowers, and wildlife.

Hi, I am Susan Schmalzel. Born, raised and lived most all my life here in southeastern Michigan. Like so many of you reading this I too have enjoyed taking photo’s from a very young age. I also enjoy sharing what I see through my lens so that’s why I blog them. I also enjoy getting feedback from everyones point of view.
